Located in downtown Baltimore, the Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women is a premiere charter school offering a college preparatory curriculum with an emphasis on STEM disciplines for 6th-12th grade female students.
Baltimore Leadership School had data around the school's performance but needed support using the data to tell a compelling story that they knew existed based on the work that they do with their students. With only 72 hours remaining before a report deadline, the Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women contacted Psychometric Solutions for support to analyze their data.
Psychometric Solutions was contracted to support Baltimore Leadership School with data storytelling for the report to its Board, funders, as well as to the Board of Baltimore City Public Schools. Psychometric Solutions helped the school's leadership not only to understand not only our school's data, but how the school was performing in relation to the school district. The data revealed that their students were performing higher than Baltimore City Public School traditional students. As a result the BLSYW’s charter contract was renewed for another 3 years without any conditions. Furthermore, with Psychometric Solutions support, the institution has been able to make informed decisions such as such as what subject areas to focus on as well as identify teachers with the strongest impact on student growth and performance.
